The Office of Naval Research has a requirement to convert a CONVAIR 580 aircraft from its current state to an aircraft instrumentated for scientific research. The CONVAIR 580 will be outfitted with instrumentation appropriate to undertake sophisticated sampling and data recording associated with various questions related to atmospheric sciences.
