A -- THE QUIET KNIGHT PHASE 0 CONCEPT EXPLORATION ACTIVITIES HAS BEEN TERMINATED. POC LT COL Ronald C. Effective immediately such activities as SOF Avionics Architecture and Integration Working Group (SAAIWG) meetings, sources sought announcements to industry to support a future Quiet Knight (QK) production program, and documentation to attain a Milestone I approval are terminated. Cancellation is based on funding constraints and the present projected costs of an entire QK avionics suite. The Advanced Concept Technology Demonstration (ACTD) is re-scoped to an Advanced Technology Demonstration (ATD). The ATD will rehost previous QK software into open system architecture of existing processors and a digital map system. USSOCOM will conduct a requirement analysis in conjunction with a Low Probability of Interception/Detection study. Near term demonstration and requirements activities for QK will support a possible Program Objective Memorandum. (0277)
