The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Patuxent River is tasked to provide engineering and technical services to support Navy, Army, Air Force, Joint Services, and other agencies exterior communication (EXCOMM) systems, and subsystems. This includes EXCOMM design, development, integration, test and evaluation, installation, certification, maintenance, and logistics support. These systems include interior and exterior communication systems, shipboard radio communication systems, transportable communication systems, aircraft/airborne communication systems, and the fixed shore terminations of such systems. It is anticipated that a Cost Plus Fixed Fee level of effort contract will be awarded for a base period of performance commencing 1 October 1996 through 30 September 1997, with four additional option years. The estimated level of effort is approximately 240,000 hours for the base period, with an additional 1,020,000 hours for the option periods. This contract is subject to the Service Contract Act and the place of performance is unknown. Wage determinations have been requested for St. Mary's County, MD. The contracting officer will request wage determinations for additional localities if asked to do so in writing by 20 November 1995. This unrestricted solicitation has a planned release date of January 1996. This is a follow-on effort to contract N00421-91-C-0059.
