systems for the Administrative Base Building and the Airport Traffic
Control Tower (ATCT) at the Piedmont Triad International Airport,
Greensboro, North Carolina--Work includes, but is not limited to
replacement of water chiller, chilled water piping, valves, air
diffusers, air handling units, fans, pumps, expansion tank, HVAC
control system, air separator,chemical feeder, insulation, and portions
of the HVAC ductwork system; installation of VAV boxes, fans, rooftop
air conditioning unit, rooftop air handling unit, split-type HVAC
system, electric duct heaters; removal of hot water boiler, hot water
piping, and all associated items. Provide temporary air conditioning
systems. Provide test and balance, checkout and commissioning of new
equipment. Provide new electrical distribution panelboards, electric
circuits, safety switches, fire alarm system components, and other work
to provide proper electrical power and control service to all equipment
involved inthis contract work.--Estimated price range
$250,000.00-$500,000.00.--Estimated performance time is 90 calendar
days.--All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be
considered.--NOTE: This Notice is for informational purposes for
Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The
Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged
Business Utilization (OSDBU), has programs to assist minority,
women-owned and disadvantaged businessenterprises to acquire short-term
working capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related
contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at
any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for
bid, payment, and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract.
The DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety
against losses. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending
Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable
financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.00. For further
