Hart (410) 278-2317 (Site Code DAAD05) The Directorate of Contracting (DOC), Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG) is soliciting proposals for acquisition of eleven boats with trailers for the Naval Reserve Inshore Boat Unit (IBU) program, with an option to purchase one to eleven additional boats; limited spare parts will also be an option. DOC is the procuring office for the Office of Special Technology located at Fort Washington, Maryland who is the program office sponsoring this effort. The IBUs are lightly manned Naval Reserve Units. The intent of this effort is to acquire a rapidly deployable, armed, small craft capability, with precise navigation, to support U.S. Navy and joint expeditionary warfare security operations in littoral operations worldwide. The boats must be large enough to transport, deploy and retrieve the MIUW underwater sensor string deployment system, have an enclosed pilot-house, and be equipped with hard points fore and aft for armament. Additionally the delivered boats must include a trailer. Primary tasking will be to directly support Naval Coastal Warfare Port Security and Harbor Defense objectives.
