16 -- AMLCD COCKPIT INSTRUMENT DUE 103195 POC Contact Point, Bruce Everts, (317)306-4076 The CH-53D helicopter is considering a modification to its cockpit instrument panel for the purpose of consolidating the information located on its Bearing, Distance and Heading Indicator (BDHI) and Course Deviation Indicator (CDI) into a single instrument. The purpose of this Sources Sought request is to obtain information on potential Active Matrix Liquid Crystal Display (AMLCD) instruments that could be used for such a purpose. The new instrument sought must: 1) display information legibly, 2) display information in a Horizontal Situation Indicator (HSI) like format, 3) be no larger externally than approximately 5 inches wide by 4.5 inches high (including bezel) by 9 inches long, 4) have ARINC 429-10, ARINC-582-5, ARINC-407 and discrete interface capabilities, 5) be Night Vision Goggle (NVG) compatible, and 6) have anti-aliased graphics. Existing off-the-shelf equipment that could be used for this purpose is sought along with catalog pricing. If modifications are required to existing equipment, the feasibility of modifying this equipment is requested along with a rough idea of the time required to make these modifications.
