government intends to award a contract for port services and initial
oil spill response for the Naval Weapons Station, Charleston, S.C.. The
main purpose of the port services will be the docking/undocking of
MCM/MHC's at the various Naval Weapons Station piers. The initial
response for oil spills is for the Cooper River from the Naval Weapons
Station to the opening of the river in Charleston harbor for all
government laden vessels. GFE will be provided for both operations.
Period of performance is 01 Mar 96 through 28 Feb 97, with provisions
for 1-1 year option period. The contract is anticipated to be an IDIQ,
Requirements type with Firm Fixed Unit Prices. All responsible sources
