X -- LEASE OF CONFERENCE FACILITIES SOL 50SBNB6C9007 DUE 112795 POC Debra Hoffman (301) 975-4648/C.O Pauline Mallgrave (301) 975-6330 The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Gaithersburg, MD intends to negotiate with the Baltimore Convention Center, Baltimore, MD to provide meeting space, Audio- Visual rental and meeting services for the 19th National Information Systems Security Conference being held October 21-25, 1996. The Baltimore Convention Center is the only available facility that can accommodate the large attendance of 1,600 - 2,000 in the city of Baltimore, the venue of the Conference. The Conference requires the following rooms fully furnished a registration area, one room which holds at least 1,600 people, five rooms which hold at least 300 people, an office, a room for audiovisuals, a speaker lounge, a press room, an executive room, and ten small rooms that can be used for demonstrations and informal meetings. Additionally, podiums and microphones will be required on an as needed basis. Other organizations capable of providing these services and space can submit information as to their abilities and other pertinent data. This is not a RFP. Solicitation documents are not available.
