Z -- ALTER SQUADRON OPERATIONS FACILITY Sol. DAHA04-96-B-0002. Due 121995. Contractor to furnish all labor, supplies, equipment and materials necessary to Alter Squadron Operations Facility, Bldg. #654, at the Air National Guard Base Moffett Federal Airfield, California (Santa Clara County). This facility is an existing unoccupied 33,000 SF Tilt-up structure that will incorporate various aircraft operational facilities and office areas. Work includes, but is not limited to, new walls, demolition of existing walls, wall painting, carpeting, installation of sheet vinyl and tile, general floor cleaning, remodel toilets, alter ceiling/lighting systems, modify fire suppression system an assoc. electrical, mechanical and plumbing work. Work also includes, new exterior windows, entry door and new sanitary sewer line. Asbestos containing materials and lead paint removal and disposal may be required. The estimated construction cost is between $250,000 and $500,000. This solicitation is scheduled to be issued on or about 17 Nov 95. Interested Small Disadvantaged Businesses (SDB) should as early as possible, but not later than 15 calendar days after publication of this notice, indicate interest in bidding on the project, and must submit the following documents within the time specified above to be considered, specialized experience as a prime contractor, technical capability to do this type of work to include references with contract numbers, points of contact and telephone numbers, a positive statement of eligibility as a small socially and economically disadvantaged business concern, and the dollar amount of current construction bonding capability for an individual project. The Contracting Officer will utilize the information received to make a decision to issue this solicitation as set-aside for Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) or as a set-aside for small business concerns without further notice. Therefore, replies to this notice are requested from all interested business concerns as well as from SDB concerns. Replies must indicate the firm's size status such as large business, small business, small disadvantaged business, 8(a), and indicate if the firm is woman owned. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 1594.
