Contact Larry W. McCain, Contract Specialist, 202/874-3139. The Bureau
of Engraving and Printing (BEP) has a requirement to procure one (1)
X-Ray Flourescence Spectrometer. The BEP requires an energy dispersive
X-Ray Flourescence Spectrometer and associated peripheral equipment.
The instrument shall be a research grade spectrometer which utilizes
secondary targets for sample excitation. It shall possess the ability
to analyze solids, liquids, powders, and thin films. The system shall
possess all components necessary for sample analysis, data analysis,
and report generation. The spectrometer shall be run by an IBM
compatible personal computer with the capability to run in a windows
environment. All respondents are required to state if they are a
small-business manufacturer, distributor, or wholesale dealer. All
written requests must also include the firms size status (i.e., Large,
Small, Minority, or Women-Owned). The solicitation will be available
on or about October 4, 1995. Interested firms must submit a written
request for a copy of Solicitation BEP-96-02(N) to Larry W. McCain,
