COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF OCTOBER 12,1995 PSA#1450USAF NIGHT VISION WORKING GROUP MEETING The United States Air Force
(USAF) night vision working group will meet in Tucson, Arizona, on 28
through 30 November 1995, at the Airport Embassy Suites Hotel.
Government attendees will be the managers and action officers for all
USAF night vision goggles (NVG) areas, to include operations,
logistics, research, and development and acquisition. There will be at
least 70 USAF attendees, representing all USAF aircraft types. The
discussions on 28 November will be closed to contractors; however, the
agenda will accommodate contractor presentations to the group in the
afternoon of 29 November and the morning of 30 November. Display space
at the hotel is limited in the public areas; however, individual rooms
for contractor displays are available. To reserve display space and
individual rooms at the hotel, interested contractors should coordinate
directly with Gayle Venner, Sales Director at the Embassy Suites at
800-262-8866. Contractors interested in presenting information to the
group should provide a written synopsis of the presentation to Lt Col
Joe Barnes, at FAX number 520-295-6913 to solicit time on the agenda.
Due to the limited time available for contractor presentations, the
following rules will apply: contractor briefing will be limited to 15
minutes; during contractor briefings the primary audience will be
government personnel, however, the room will not be closed to other
contractors; all presentations will be unclassified; priority will be
given to items which are applicable across all aircraft types, and are
areas of new technology or commercial-off-the-shelf equipment which
fills a need within the Air Force. All written requests to present
information will be accepted on a first-come/first-served basis, and no
requests will be accepted after 17 November. Contractors accepted for
presentations will be advised of their briefing time via return FAX.
Specific areas of interest include: night vision devices, NVG
compatible cockpit lighting, low infrared (IR) signature visible
external lighting, covert external lighting, NVG camera technology
suitable for aircraft installation, NVG test and maintenance equipment,
NVG batteries, maintenance equipment for testing and maintaining NVG
