The intent of this pre-solicitation synopsis is to identify potential offerors for a firm fixed-price contract for removal of the existing R-11 170-ton centrifugal chiller, cooling tower, pumps, associated piping, wiring and electrical equipment; removal of the existing R-22 120-ton reciprocating chiller, remote air-cooled condensers, pumps, associated piping, wiring and electrical equipment; modification of existing air handling units; installation of (2) new R-134a 120-ton reciprocating or rotary packaged chillers, (2) variable frequency drive pumps, (2) constant speed pumps, chemical feeder, expansion tank, associated piping and supports, controls, motor control center, wiring, electrical equipment, and equipment concrete pads. The solicitation is a performance specification that represents the Government's minimum requirements. The contractor is responsible for and shall provide overall coordination and design of construction details (100% design drawings, shop drawings, etc.) and ensure a fully functional system covered under this contract.
