32925 18 -- RANGE STANDARDIZATION AND AUTOMATION (RSA) PHASE I PROGRAM
Contact Capt Thomas W. Fike (407) 494-4152, Contract Negotiator,
Adonijah Edwards (407) 494-2144 - Contracting Officer. Request for
Information - As part of the Range Standardization and Automation (RSA)
Phase I program, the Eastern Range Program Office is establishing a
communication link between Jonathan Dickinson Missile Tracking Annex
located near West Palm Beach, Florida and the Range Operations Control
Center (ROCC) located on Cape Canaveral Air Station (CCAS). The
purpose of the link is to diversely transport a redundant set of
eighteen (18) Mhz analog signals and a redundant set of five (5) DS-1
formatted digital signals. The primary intent of the Government is to
lease either fiber optic or microwave facilities necessary to transport
these signals. As an alternative, the Government is willing to explore
purchasing and/or installing these facilities. However, the Government
is willing to explore all approaches in an effort to identify the most
cost effective solution. If your company wishes to participate in the
Request for Information (RFI), please submit the following
information: 1) A Statement of Capabilities (SOC), 2) a synopsis of
your proposed approach and 3) a point of contact. Request you limit
your total response to five (5) pages. Information submitted in
response to the RFI is voluntary. This RFI does not obligate the
Government to issue a resultant contract nor does it obligate the
Government in any way to cover the costs incurred by the Contractors as
a result of the information prepared in response to this RFI. Responses
are due to Capt Thomas W. Fike, Contract Negotiator, SMC/CWKB, 1046 S.
