The Contractor shall provide qualified personnel to perform the following services to support laboratory staff in the: 1) construction and maintenance of specialized laboratory seawater systems and laboratory equipment and systems; 2) maintenance and culture of various species of algae, invertebrates and marine and anadromous fishes; 3) conduct of laboratory experiments on the behavior of fishes and their prey; 4) analysis of data resulting from experiments on fish behavior; and 5) conduct of scientific literature searches and cataloging of reference materials. Work will be performed at the National Marine Fisheries Services' Fisheries Behavioral Research Laboratory in Newport, Oregon. The Government contemplates award of a firm-fixed-price, level-of-effort term contract. The anticipated level-of-effort will be 4,000 labor hours per year.
