Pre-Solicitation: The work includes disconnection and removal of exterior underground vault main service entrance bank, disconnection and removal of all existing service entrance equipment including panelboard current transformer (CT) cabinet, metering, etc., disconnect and remove all existing panelboards as indicated on the contract documents, installation of one (1) outdor padmounted 500 KVA transformer rated 13.2Y/4.16KV - 208Y/120V, 3 phase, 60 cycle, installation of a new ampere, 120/208V, 3 phase, 4 wire main distribution panelboard along with emergency kirk-key interlocked tie switch and required metering and other work as described in the specifications. The Estimated Cost Range is $500,000 and $1,000,000. The Standard Industrial Code is 1731. The related Small Business Size Standard is $7 million. The proposed contract listed here is being considered 100% set-aside for Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) Concerns. Interested SDB Concerns should provide in writing to the Contracting Officer as early as possible, but not later than 15 days after receipt of this notice, specifically: 1) a list of references past and present government/ commercial contracts, similar to the work described in this notice, which includes the contract number, title of contract, dollar value, name of person to contact, and telephone number, 2) a positive statement of self certification as a SDB Concern, and 3) a statement of capability to obtain the required bonds. If adequate interest is not received from SDB Concerns, the solicitation with be issued on an unrestricted basis and another notice will be issued. Therefore, replies to this office are requested from all interested business as well as SDB Concerns. The Bid Opening Date is on or about 12 Decmber 1995.
