The work includes removing approximately 50 underground storage tanks. Approximately half will be replaced by underground storage tanks and half with above ground storage tanks. Requests for plans and specifications may be mailed to the above address or request may be sent via fax by using fax #(202) 433-0939. Contractors within the local area are urged to pick-up a copy of the solicitation at Building 212, 1st floor, plans & specs room, at the Washington Navy Yard. The hours of operation for plans & specs are 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday thru Friday. There will be no charge for these documents, however, there will only be one set issued per contractor. Requests for plans & specs and bidders lists should be made separately. Please note that plans and specs will be issued on a first-come first-serve basis. The date of issuance of plans and specs is 27 October 1995. The date for bid opening is 28 Nov 1995. The estimated cost of construction for this project is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. (0284)
