The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, St. Inigoes, MD has identified a requirement to modify contract N00140-94-C-CA51 with Litton Systems, Inc., Data Systems Division, to procure 5 rotary pool kits, a maximum of 74 retrofit kits, and up to 9 sets of circuit cards for Installation and Checkout (INCO) support related to system level improvement of the AN/UPX-24(V) Interrogator Set. The AN/UPX-24(V) is an integral component of the AN/UPX-29(V), a Central Identification Friend of Foe (IFF) System installed on AEGIS class cruisers/destroyers and LHD amphibious assault ships. Litton is the original equipment manufacturer of the AN/UPX-24(V), and is the only source possessing the technical capability, technical data, and requisite knowledge of the equipment to effect modifications and improvements to the interrogator set.
