This acquisition will provide the production hardware required to integrate both Global Positioning System (GPS) and Improved Data Modem (IDM) into the A/OA-10 aircraft. The hardware required is the UDTU which must interface with the A/OA-10 aircraft, GPS, and IDM via the MIL-STD-1553 Mux bus. The estimated quantity is 11 units. Delivery of the UDTUs is required by March 1997 to meet critical hardware installation schedules. Production units shall be delivered to the Sacramento Air Logistics Center in Sacramento, CA. Orbital Sciences Corp/Fairchild Defense owns all data rights to the UDTU. The Government does not own any UDTU technical data or drawings. . The approximate issue/response date will be 01 Nov 95. However, all proposals received within forty-five days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A Determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the dscretion of the Government.
