(703)704-2169 The US Army has a requirement to evaluate qualification
data on candidate lubricants to ascertain that tests were conducted in
accordance with applicable test procedures/specifications, and that
the data represents a valid determination of the candidates anticipated
performance. The contractor shall assess the validity of the proposed
changes to military engine and gear lubricant specifications and test
procedures which will include evaluation of the proposed changes with
regard to items such as good lubrication practice and equipment needs.
In addition, the contractor will be required to assess the data
generated in special lubrication standardization programs, and shall
provide a mechanism to disseminate to a broad base the information
pertinent to the testing and qualifications of Military lubricants. The
period of performance of the proposed contract is twelve (12) months
with three (3) one (1) year options. This proposed effort will be a
follow-on effort to support Army Qualification and Standardization of
Automotive Engine and Gear Lubricants. A solicitation will be issued to
