40 -- FURNISH AND DELIVER 3/8'' STEEL WIRE STRAND Sol DACW38-96-B-0004 Due 120795 POC Contract Specialist, Sophia Clark, (601) 631-5812 Furnish and deliver 14,000,000 linear feet of 3/8'' steel wire strand. The wire strand shall be the 7-wire type of uncoated steel suitable for use in the assembly of articulated concrete mattress for bank stabilization on the Mississippi River. The strand shall be 3/8'' nominal diameter, with tolerance of plus/minus 0.016'' measured across the crowns of the wires. The center wire of the 3/8'' strand shall be 0.126'' nominal diameter, and the outside wires 0.124'' nominal diameter. The diameter of the 3/8'' strand center wire shall be a minimum of 0.002'' larger than the diameter of any outer wire. The 3/8'' strand shall be furnished in uniform continuous lengths of 14,000 linear fee, each on non-refundable reels. Issue date is on or about 6 Nov 95. Bid Opening date on or about 7 Dec 95.
