In support of the Technical Information Service Branch, NASA/GSFC intends to enter into a sole source purchase order to Eastman Kodak of McLean, VA for the acquisition of upgrade service on a Kodak Data manger S420 and Writer PC 225. Request for Quotation (RFQ)5-44545/985 will be issued as the vehicle to obtain this requirement. This acquisition will be done pursuant to U.S.C. 2340(c)(1)--''only one responsible source.'' The S420 and 225 writer must integrate with the existing Kodak PIW 4200 system. Consequently, it must work with proprietary software and hardware.
