The medical assistant must be licensed in the State of Tennessee and meet personnel standard requirements of CLIA 188.1. A contractor's employee must be present at the VA Primary Care Center and performing required services for the period specified in the contract. A record keeping system for contractor hours will be established. Payment for sick leave, holidays or vacation time are the responsibility of the contractor.
