It shall consist of the replacement of three existing boilers with a 20, 40 and 60 pound per hour boiler, piping, construction of an addition to the existing building, construction of a temporary structure, asbestos removal, roof replacement, new electrical feed to B238, new generator, rooftop air conditioning, demoliton of existing stack and replacement with a 125 ft. stack, computerized controls and a monitor system for boiler plant and other misc. work at the Department of Veterans Affairs, Medical and Regional Office Center, Togus, Maine 04330, all in strict accordance with the plans and specifications. Completion time: 730 calendar days. A $150 refundable deposit is required for each set of plans and specifications in the form of a cashiers check, money order or company check made out to the Dept. of Veterans Affairs. All requests for plans and specifications must be in writing to the Contracting Officer (90C), Dept. of Veterans Affairs, Medical and Regional Office Center, Togus, Maine 04330. Only one (1) set of plans and specs will be issued to each proposed bidder. Bid documents will be available on or about 10/16/95. There will be two pre-bid meetings held for subject project. The first will be held on 10/19/95 at 10:00 a.m., in the Engineering Conference Room, Bldg. 202 at the Dept. of Veterans Affairs Medical and Regional Office Center, Togus, Maine. The second meeting will be held on 10/26/95 at 10:00 a.m., in B202 Engineering Conference Room. Inspection of the job site will be immediately following the pre-bid meeting. Bid opening will be 11/16/95 at 2:00 p.m., in Bldg. 205, Rm. 316. SIC Code: 1541. In accordance with VAAR 836-204, para. (g), the construction cost range for this project is $2,000,000-$5,000,000.
