COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF OCTOBER 18,1995 PSA#1454Operational Contracting Office, 8110 Industrial Drive, Lobby Area, USAF
Academy, CO 80840-2315 58 -- SECURITY ALARM SYSTEM SOL F05611 POC Michael McFadden, Contract
Specialist, 719-472-2861. The USAF Academy is requesting information
regarding equipment or long term lease of service for a security alarm
system at the USAF Academy, Colorado. The proposed system must be
capable of interfacing with 365 installed, government owned alarm
sensing devices and expandable to monitor a total of 1000 alarm points.
The government owned sensing devices are infrared sensors, motion
sensors, vibration sensors, magnetic switched and duress alarms. The
secure state of the current sensors is ''normally closed.'' The
proposed system shall be equipped with supervisory alarms which alerts
the operators of alarm system equipment and power failures. The
proposed system must interface to a key pad and provide a personnel
identification through the use of a personal identification number
(PIN). The maximum elapsed time between actuation of a sensor devise
and announcement on the monitor station is five (5) seconds. The system
must be able to continually monitor all alarm devices and display
status of alarms at three monitor stations (personal computers). The
three monitor stations will be located at the primary law enforcement
desk (Building 8024), the alternate law enforcement desk (Building
2360), and one for management and maintenance of the system (Building
8024). Each monitor station must be capable of providing an audible
alarm for each alarm incident and a visual printed display for each
alarm. The system must also print a hard copy of each and every alarm
received by the system to include location, date and time of incident.
A means of muting each audible alarm must be present at all three
monitor stations. The system must be capable of storing all alarm
announcements for a period of one year. A pictorial diagram of the
alarm facility highlighting the activated alarm device location should
be available at each monitor station upon the operator's request.
Request information on equipment available on the market capable of
meeting these requirements including descriptive literature showing
technical information as well as pricing information. Also request
information on leasing options available. Maintenance information and
pricing are also requested as well as industry standards ad warranty.
This is not a request for proposal and no solicitation will be issued
as a result of this request for information. Information should be sent
to the attention of Mike McFadden no later than 21 Nov 95. (0289) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0174 19951017\58-0003.SOL)
