Software maintenance support services will cover such software as VAX/VMS, DECNET-VAX, VAX CDD, DEC C, VAX DATATRIEVE, VAX FMS, etc., which is run on a variety of DEC hardware platforms. Contract duration will be one base year plus three (3) successive one year option periods. Other than full and open competition is justified because only DEC possesses the required copyrights, knowledge, expertise and rights to the software and associated support.
