Code DABT23) Contractor shall provide aircraft maintenance, ground
handling, and fueling services for various types of aircraft at Fort
Knox, Kentucky during the period 1 January 1996 through 31 December
1996 with four one-year option periods through 31 December 2000.
Contractor shall provide aircraft maintenance to include test flying
for approximately 26 UH-1 and AH-64 rotary wing aircraft. Contractor
shall provide ground handling, fueling, and transient services for
rotary and fixed wing aircraft (including jet aircraft) utilizing
Godman Army Airfield at Fort Knox, Kentucky. Contractor shall possess
a SECRET facility security clearance. Standard industrial
classification (SIC) is 4581 and the small business size standard is
$5.0 million. Both large and small businesses may currently request the
solicitation. The Directorate of Contracting is considering the
potential to set aside this acquisition for small business concerns.
Small businesses are invited to submit written comments supporting a
small business set aside to the Directorate of Contracting, Building
4022, Fort Knox, Kentucky 40121-5000 by close of business on 31 October
1995. The small business concern shall provide validation of security
clearance, qualifications, previous experience, and other pertinent
data such as managerial experience and financial status to support
comments. If adequate interest is received from small business
concerns, the solicitation will be issued as a small business set aside
without further notice. Insufficient small business offerors will
result in an unrestricted solicitation without further notice.
