Request for Proposal No. N68939-95-R-0009 was cancelled because of
significant changes to the requirement. This is a re-solicitation
notification of the PAS/SDS Acquisition. The initial RFP was published
in the Commerce Business Daily on March 03, 1995. Maintenance Support
Services for the Comptroller of the Navy (NAVCOMPT) Pay and Personnel
Source Data System (PAS/SDS) inclusive of software and documentation
updates and support for sites within the continent of the United States
(CONUS) and outside of the continental United States (OCONUS). The
PAS/SDS system is used to report pay and personnel data in a timely and
accurate manner and to further improve the Navy's capability to manage
pay and personnel assets to achieve a prescribed level of fleet
personnel readiness. Field Host Processors (FHPs) are located at 14
processing sites. They collect and pass data to two (2) Front-end
Processors (FEPs) and a Central Host Processor (CHP). The CHP is linked
to a major Personnel and Pay processing systems which is the Central
Design Authority (CDA) which communicates with all processors (FHPs,
FEPs, and CHP) in the network to provide overall system and software
support. The specific maintenance required is On-Call during PPM
(OCPPM) and On-call Outside of the Maintenance Period (OCOMP), Per-call
and Mail-in Maintenance support on all hardware and software for CONUS
and OCONUS sites. The planned release date for RFP Number
N68939-96-R-0002 (re-solicitation of RFP No. N68939-95-R-0009) is 31
October 1995. Future announcements/publications (i.e., RFP, Amendments,
Supplements...) regarding this acquisition will be published on the
NISMC Electronic Bulletin Board System (BBS), which can be accessed by

bits/character, 14.4 KBPS Baud, no parity, one stop bit. This is a
