U -- EDUCATION AND TRAINING SERVICES SOL N61339-96-R-0010 DUE 110395 POC Please contact Jerry Miller, Contracting Officer, (407)380-8383 This is a sources sought synopsis for Submarine Contractor Instructor, Maintenance, and Training Support (CIMTS) at NAVDIVESALVTRACEN, Panama City, FL; NAVSUBSCOL, Groton, CT; NAVSUBTRACENPAC, Pearl Harbor, HI; SERVSCOLCOM, Keyport, WA; SUBTRAFAC, Norfolk, VA; TRITRAFAC, Kings Bay, GA; and TRITRAFAC, Bangor, WA. The Contractor shall provide instructional services to students assigned by the Naval Education and Training Command (NAVEDTRACOM) using government furnished materials and methodologies to produce a graduate who satisfies the Navy undersea warfare mission. These services shall include instructor, maintenance and training support. A draft Statement of Work is available. Instructor services shall include instruction for approximately 150 courses of instruction, curriculum development and maintenance in the functional areas of Fire Control, HME-Electrical, HME-Mechanical, Sonar, Sub-Communication, Sub-Navigation/EW, SWS-Navigation, SWS-Weapons, Torpedo, and other functional areas as required by the Government. Maintenance personnel shall be responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance of training equipment, trainer unique equipment, technical training equipment and mockups, audio-visual equipment, computers, printers, modems, closed circuit television, camcorders, and other training support equipment. Training support personnel shall be responsible for administration, operation and maintenance of Learning Resource Centers, technical publication libraries, Local Area Networks (LAN), students scheduling and management, building security, as well as supply and fiscal functions. Initial performance period 11-1-96 through 9-30-97 includes one two-month mobilization period with nine months of instructor, maintenance and training support. Four one-year options for FY 98 through FY 01. Secret Clearance will be required. Contractor shall show satisfactory experience within the past five years in conducting training support programs in a military training environment including, overall management experience.
