13 -- BONNET THRUSTER ASSEMBLIES POC Robert Bohacs, LSO-360, Kennedy Space Center, FL 32899. Lockheed Martin Space Operations (LMSO), a NASA Prime Contractor at Kennedy Space Center, FL (KSC), seeks sources capable of fabrication of new, and/or refurbishment of existing, tail service mast bonnet thruster assemblies, which are used in a ground support application on the Space Shuttle program at KSC. The bonnet thruster is a pyrotechnic device. The refurbishment of ''spent'' bonnet thrusters requires disassembly, inspection, cleaning, re-work, fabrication, replacement parts, assembly, and destructive and non-destructive testing per KSC specifications and drawings. Fabrication of new bonnet thrusters requires fabrication and/or procurement of new components, assembly and destructive and non-destructive testing per KSC specification and drawings. The formal solicitation will contain drawings and specs for both refurbishment and fabrication. This synopsis is for the sole purpose of identifying prospective sources and does not commit LMSO to award a contract nor to reimburse costs of submitting data.
