These units are will be test units fabricated for the purpose of establishing the suitability of replacing current chemically tempered outer faceply with a polycarbonate faceply with abrasion coating. Test units will be subject to abrasion, scratch resistance and birdstrike tests, as well as to fleet eavaluation for form, fit, function. Fabrication of thes materials requires use of contractor owned master tooling which the government does not control.
