Work to be done consists of preparing and delivering pre-cooked meals, (breakfast, lunch, afternoon snacks) for the Child Development Center located at Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg, Pennsylvania Monday-Friday (except Federal holidays). All foods to be consumed by the clientele of the center must be procured from approved sources as prescribed within Army Regulation 40-657. Only responsible sources will be considered for participation in this acquisition. Sources must comply with the USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program Creditable Foods Guide, the USDA Meal Patterns for Children Ages 1 through 12 years and TBMED 530 (all referenced documents may be requested of the Contracting Officer). Any potential awardee will additionally be required to undergo inspection by the Veterinary Services, Carlisle Barracks Branch, Carlisle, PA 17013 prior to allowance of contract performance commencement. Evidence that any potential source is qualified to perform this work is required to be submitted together with all queries and request for solicitation required. Such evidence may be supplied in the form of certifications, licenses, or references from educational or public institutions previously serviced. Also required from any source not located geographically within the Franklin County area of PA is a plan for delivery of meals and inspection of preparation facilities. Failure to provide the requested information or the receipt of deficient information will be grounds for the elimination from participation in the acquisition. Anticipated award date is 11-10-95.
