The Jet Propulsion Laboratory/California Institute of Technoloyg (JPL/Caltech), operating under a prime contract with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), is currently seeking qualified sources to participate in a contractual agreement with JPL to dispose of excess Government property in a pilot program. The basic scope of work includes transporting excess material from the JPL site(s) to the warehouse; managing the warehouse; and handling the interfaces with the General Services Administration (GSA). For example, for screening purposes, managing the donation of excess material to schools under the Stevenson-Wydler Technology Innovation Act and Executive Order 12821 of November 1992; maintaining storage records for those items stored at the warehouse; and conducting sales of excess material once released from Government Property regulations. JPL will provide the use of the present warehouse to the selected contractor at no additional cost to the selected contractor. JPL requests that interested firms, which have a capability to fulfill the requirements herein, provide a FAX or written expression of interest no later than 3:00 p.m. (P.S.T.) on October 31, 1995.
