The work will include the following: (Approx. quantities) Upgrade of the SCADA (Supervisory Control And Data Acquistion) system, which includes replacing a computer, providing a fiber optic communications link between two treatment plants, replacing the existing telephone communications system to the lift stations with a new radio communication system (approx. 21 new remote radio transmittters and 1 new base radio station), providing new Remote Terminal Units (RTU's) to some lift stations (approx. 10 new RTU's), SCADA software modifications, and the addition of new data points to the new computer (flow, level C1 residuals, and pH). The estimated construction cost of this project is between $500,000 and $750,000. Contractor's Quality Control will be a requirement in this contract. The Contractor will be required to commence work within 10 days after notice to proceed and complete the work 270 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Provisions will be included for liquidated damages in case of failure to complete the work in the time allowed. Performance and payment bonds will be required. Bid sets will be available on/a November 13, 1995. Half-size plans and specifications will be furnished upon request. All requests for solicitation packages should be made in writing no later than 14 days prior to bid opening. After such time, packages will be furnished if supply is available.
