This announcement changes Solicitation Number BEP-95-45(N) to BEP-96-11(N) for the same requirement which was originally synopsized in March of 1995. The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) still intends to acquire four (4) Stamp Booklet Packaging Machines capable of performing the following functions: receive banded stamp booklets consisting of either 25 or 50 individual stamp booklets; wrap and seal the bundled stamp booklet packages in a tamper-resistent film; mark each wrapped package with a bar code label; consolidate and orientate each group of 300 booklets, wrap, and mark each group with a bar code label; load 15 groups of booklets (3 acroos, 5 layers deep) into shipping cartons, and apply two (2) bar coded labels to the finished cartons. The Stamp Booklet Packaging Machines shall be delivered, installed, and tested at the BEP's Washington, D. C. facility. All qualified offerors shall submit a written request for RFP No. BEP-96-11(N) within fifteen (15) calendar days of the date of this announcement, Attn: Gail D. Boger. Offerors who have already requested a copy of BEP-95-45(N), for which the solicitation number has been changed to BEP-96-11(N), will automatically be sent a copy. The written request should include the firm's size status (i.e., Large, Small, Minority, or Women-Owned). Telephone requests will not be honored.
