Bissonnette, Contracting Officer, 601/377-3130 CNT F22600-96-R-0006 The Air Force is seeking potential sources for three (3) each Intercept and Directional Finding Systems. Equipment will be used in a highly mobile environment. The system must be able to determine location and source of friendly forces emitters causing interference, or inadvertent jamming within the HF, VHF, and UHF spectrums. Equipment must be calibration-certified, easily maintainable, and ruggedized to MIL STD 810E. It must be a manpack system and able to run off a battery pack, vehicle battery power, and AC power. It will consist of direction finding processor, appropriate antennas to support the HF, VHF, and UHF spectrums (one set transportable, one set manportable), and associated power sources. Size: Approximately 4 X 8 X 14 inches, less than 500 cubic inches. Weight: Less than 50 pounds, with batteries, antennas and associated cabling. Frequency Range: 1.5 MHZ-2000 MHZ. USB, LSB, CW, AM, NFM (Narrow), WFM (Wide). Receiver Selectivity: USB/LSB/CW, 2.4 KHZ/-6DB, 4.5 KHZ/-60DB; AM/NFM, 12 KHZ/-6DB, 25 KHZ/-70DB; WFM, 180 KHZ/-6DB, 800 KHZ/-50DB. Audio Output: .5 W @ 10% distortion. Bearing Display-Circular with back lighting, signal strength display. Measuring Accuracy: 3% or better. Frequency selection: By keyboard entry in 100 HZ to 100 KHZ steps. Scan Rate: Channels / second. Search Rate: 20 steps/second. Battery Life: Eight hours minimum, rechargeable internal battery power. Calibration: As recommended by manufacturer. Transportable receive antennas - no more than three (3) transportable antennas to cover 1.5 MHZ to 2000 MHG. Manportable receive antennas - no more than three (3) manportable antennas to cover 1.5 MHZ to 2000 MHZ. Operating Temperature: -20 to 60 degrees Celsius. Operating Humidity: 5% to 95%.
