70 -- COMMUNICATIONS SERVER PROCESSOR BOARDS POC Harold Miles, 202/512-5102/Contracting Officer Communications Server Processor Boards - The U.S. General Accounting Office (GAO) has a requirement to upgrade processor boards on GAO's installed base of J&L Information Systems Chatterbox communications servers. The processor boards required are to be configured into Chatterbox chassis and will replace existing processor boards and must be 100% compatible with existing J&L servers maintained at GAO. Specifically, GAO will replace 39 J&L NRS-486D-33V4 processor boards with 39 J&L NEZ-486D-66V0 processor boards. Each of the replacement boards will be configured with 16MB memory (J&L MU-16MB-2) and a 545MB hard drive (J&L NRS-HD545-CZ). GAO intends to place an order with J&L Information Systems, 9600 Topanga Canyon Blvd., Chatsworth, CA, in order to obtain these upgraded boards and as part of the transaction, GAO will be trading in the 39 older boards with J&L Information Systems and will receive a substantial credit towards the replacement boards. This order will be placed on a non-competitive basis directly with J&L Information Systems. (0291)
