Herting, 202/326-4160 The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) seeks to revise the maximum hours under a current contract that is for benefit administration services which include, but are not limited to plan processing and technical support services, plan closing, customer services, system reconciliations and accounting, analysis of plan provisions, issuance of Initial Determination Letters, back file conversion, and special projects. This is a continuation of work already undertaken by the existing provider. In view of the provider's familiarity with the complexities of PBGC benefits administration, payment procedure communication requirements and the time already spent in learning the work and PBGC policies and procedures, it is in the best interest of PBGC to have the current provider to complete the tasks within the existing time frames under the contract.
