T -- MIGRATE COMMERCIAL SERVICES TO COMMODITY PURCHASES DUE 110395 POC Contact Phil McConnell, Contracting Officer (301) 227-2334 SOURCES SOUGHT-The Defense Mapping Agency (DMA) is seeking parties who may have an interest in responding to a future RFP. DMA is seeking to migrate its commercial relationships from services to that of commodity purchases. DMA is considering outsourcing the full range of DMA hardcopy products and digital data. Datasets may be vector, raster or textual and file structures will include international, national, industry and government exchange standards, and selected DMA internal formats including orthorectified and geocoded imagery, precise geodetic positions, centerline and/or symbolized features with necessary attributes, terrain and seafloor elevations, gravity, and safety to navigation. DMA vector data must be integrated topologically with existing DMA data. DMA is especially interested in procuring families of geocoincident data on a regional or worldwide basis. DMA is also interested in procuring worldwide coverage of geopositioning, controlled image base, Vector Smart Map 1 and Digital Terrain Elevation Data 1 and 2. Until commercial sources are available, respondents should consider using DMA sources. Respondents should identify quantity and type of DMA support they would require in delivering the service or commodity data. Additional relevant program information may be made available to interested respondents. Firms may have to have approved facilities and personnel for storage and processing of classified data up to DoD SECRET or TOP SECRET level with access to sensitive compartmented information (SCI). All responsible sources (U.S. firms only) are invited to submit brief statements regarding their firms capabilities.
