36 -- PRECISION SHEETER AND TRIM REMOVAL SYSTEM SOL DMA100-96-R-5003 POC Contact Point, Lou Ann Hernandez, 301-227-2295, Contract Specialist, Lynn Brannan, 301-227-2295, Fax 301-227-2218 The Defense Mapping Agency, DMA intends to purchase ''brand name or equal'' precision sheeter and trim removal system to be delivered and installed at the Consolidated Printing and Distribution Facility, DMA Aerospace Center (DMAAC) in St. Louis, MO. The sheeter shall be capable of supplying up to 480,000 cut sheets of paper per 8 hour shift from roll paper. The finished cut paper shall be delivered and loaded onto a skid. The paper sheeter shall meet the standards of a ''Precision Sheeter.'' The sheeter shall be capable of delivering and stacking cut papers onto pallets and producing cut sheet papers from several sizes of roll paper. Cut sizes will range infinitely from a minimum of 20'' by 28'' to a maximum of 47'' by 57'' from 57'' paper rolls. A trim removal system shall be part of the sheeter and consist of the necessary trim intakes, conveyors, shredders, separator and baler to remove trim from the areas containing the printing presses, bindery equipment and the paper sheeter. The trim removal system shall comply with all industry and OSHA standards for safety and noise level controls. All trim shall be reduced to a form for reclaiming, recycling or disposal in accordance with local waste management policies. Refurbished or reconditioned equipment, warranted as new, may be proposed. (0292)
