C -- ADULT DAY CARE CLINICS, B-15 SOL 637-19-96 DUE 112195 POC Contracting Officer, Beverly D Jones, (704)299-2531 Provide Architect/Engineer service for a firm fixed price contract to developed, design and preparation of construction cost estimates for the project Entitle ''Adult Day Care Clinics'' which include renovating existing space in Building 15 for clinical functions to be of the outpatient nature. Renovation will include demolition, asbestos and lead abatement and general construction of the first and second floor. Minor HVAC, electrical and plumbing modifications will be required. A/E should be experienced in working in hospital setting, exhibit a history of reliable cost estimating and be actively pursuing quality improvement. A/E shall be established within a 150 mile radius of the VA Medical Center, Asheville, NC. Estimated cost range for construction is $500,000 to $1 million. Submission of two (2) copies each of SF 254 and 255 is required by the close of business November 21, 1995. Solicitation is subject to the availability of funds. (0292)
