The system is designed to reprocess hollow fiber hemodialyzers for multiple use. Blood and blood components are flushed from the dialyzer using appropriate cleansing agents and then filled with disinfectant solution for storage. The DPS-4 is a four station microprocessor controlled system that removes germicides from reprocessed dialyzers by re-circulating the bloodside fluid in a closed loop prior to patient use.
