Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWPNS), Point Mugu, CA intends to solicit on an other-than-competitive basis with E-Systems, a Raytheon Company, 6380 Hollister Ave, Goleta, CA 93177 for engineering support to maintain operational readiness of the AN/ALE-50 Countermeasure Decoy Dispensing Set, also know as Advanced Airborne Expendable Decoy (AAED). The contractor is the only source with existing AN/ALE-50 data packages that can satisfy agency needs. Scope of work includes (1) system engineering support for system and subsystem related to the AAED, (2) maintenance support for subsystems, components and replacement parts necessary for repair and maintenance of the AAED, (3) inspection, repair, modify, restore, calibrate and/or return-for-issue condition AAED systems, subsystems, and components, (4) training of Government personnel in operation, maintenance and application of peculiar test and support equipment, (5) technical manual changes and updates, (6) engineering, technical and field services support to develop recommendations relating to AAED deficiencies, quality issues and test and repair of the systems, (7) software engineering support, modification and delivery and (8) technical data requirements. The proposed contract is time and material indefinite delivery-indefinite quantity. Tasks will be ordered on individual delivery orders.
