Hughes (816) 823-1342 The U.S. Department of Commerce/NOAA, intends to solicit and purchase documentation to the module level for the Nexrad frequency generator. Documentation will include a system block diagram, top assembly drawings, module test procedures, system acceptance test procedures. This information is being purchased on a sole source basis from the original equipment manufacturer RDL, Inc., of Conshohocken, PA. The data will be purchased for the National Weather Service, National Reconditioning Center, Kansas City, Missouri 64131. The drawings and test data are being purchased to support the National Weather Service repair and diagnostic programs. The Government believes that the information and data referenced is only available form RDL. The Government intends to contract with RDL for the information identified above. The proposed procurement action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit to only one source under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). This is not a call for proposals and no solicitation will be issued. The equipment proposed for purchase is being purchased under the guidelines of FAR Part 13 as a small purchase. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 3829. The Small Business Size Standard is 500 employees. This is a small business set- aside. (0297)
