Furnish and install two interlinked liquid rheostat control systems including liquid rheostat pilot motors. The interlinked controls systems provide for both manual and automatic starting, acceleration, adjustable speed operation, load distribution, and stopping of a wind tunnel compressor drive system consisting of four electric motors with a combined nameplate rating of 236,000-HP at 600 RPM. Equipment to be removed includes approximately 130 PCB capacitors weighing one pound each. The contractor will be responsible for removing the capacitors and the Government will be responsible for their disposal. This procurement action will be a two step sealed bid with step one based on technical acceptability and step two based on price competition. The contract performance period will be approximately 400 calendar days. All items furnished under this contract will be FOB Arnold AFB, TN. Foreign participationis allowed. Any responsible source may submit a technical proposal which shall be considered.
