Smith (301) 619-2381 (Site Code DAMD17) The U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity intends to negotiate on an other than full and open basis with Dynamac Corporation, 2275 Research Blvd., Suite 550, Rockville, MD 20850-3268, to acquire six months of maintenance (hardware, application and operating software), support services (e.g., deinstallation, movement, reinstallation and training) for continued operations, and replacement parts on an as-required basis for the Central Processing and Distribution (CPD) System at up to 90 sites in both the continental U.S. and overseas. The six month noncompetitive contract will ensure continued CPD maintenance support until its scheduled replacement by the Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) material management system. The Dynamac Corporation is uniquely qualified to provide immediate and continuous maintenance support for both hardware and software. It has been the CPD provider for the past eight years and is in the final year of its contract. The knowledge and expertise regarding the system's design, interfaces and operational capabilities acquired during Dynamac's initial development and fielding of CPD cannot be easily duplicated. Dynamac Corporation has the necessary worldwide logistical structure and trained personnel on hand who are sufficiently familiar with each individual site and its equipment configuration to provide the required services.
