Dias (904) 232-3737 (Site Code DACW17) The Jacksonville District Army Corps of Engineers intends to award a fixed price sole source contract to Water Resources Management, Inc. for the development of a new object-enhanced screening model. The hydrologic model will be based upon the South Florida Regional routing Model type of analysis, but with some major differences which include development of a centralized management engine, an object-oriented data viewing facility, and creation of new components with easy activation. The model will be used to evaluate various planning alternatives in the South Florida region. The model will be written in C and C++ for use within a windows environment on an IBM-compatible PC. The management engine will be based upon the improvements currently being developed for the South Florida Water Management Model by Water Resources Management, Inc., for the South Florida Water Management District. The work effort should be completed within eight months or less. See Note 22. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. (0297)
