619-7143 Contracting Officer Raegon B. Clutz (301) 619-2395 (Site Code
DAMD17) The U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious
Diseases (USAMRIID) has a requirement for a Large Animal Research
Facility (LARF) Manager who will manage the farm operation at USAMRIID
consisting of approximately 350 acres of pasture, corrals, hay grounds

requires an experienced farm manager to ensure the animals are cared
for in accordance with federal laws. In addition, the LARF Manager must
not have any health problems that preclude enrollment in the USAMRIID
Special Immunizations Program and completion of a vaccination schedule.
For the majority of vaccinations, reasons that preclude a person

particular agent, severe systemic reactions to previous doses of the
vaccine, acute respiratory disease or other active infections,
receiving immunosuppressive drugs or treatments, or are pregnant.
Vaccinations required and their potential side effects are listed in
the solicitation. Offerors will be required to submit proposals
addressing cost and technical compliance with the solicitation. The
proposed contract will be firm fixed-priced with a base period
beginning approximately 01 Oct 1996 and four one year option periods.
