58 -- MARKET SURVEY FOR MAINTENANCE/STORAGE ELECTRONIC SHELTER FABRICATION SOL DAAB07-96-R-F606 POC Mr. Jon Vogel, Project Leader, (908) 532-3525, Marcia A. This is a market survey to locate additional sources of supply to fabricate Electronic Systems Maintenance and Storage Shelters (S-XXX) in support of the US Army Area Common User System (ACUS) Switch Modernization Program. The proposed acquisition will be limited to Small Businesses. The current Electronic Systems Maintenance and Storage Shelters, S-639 & S-640, are housed in two standard S-280 shelters and transported aboard 2-1/2 ton trucks. The proposed acquisition will be a single shelter configuration of the necessary support equipment typically found in maintenance and storage assemblages. The S-XXX shall be mountable and transportable aboard the M-1097 Heavy HMMWV vehicle and will contain an on-board auxiliary power unit and on-board back-up power system derived from the transportation vehicle alternator. The US Army expects to procure up to 92 subject shelter systems over the next two years to be broken down as 46 units the base year and 46 units in option year 1. A contract award is projected by 31 March 1996. Level 3 engineering drawings and other technical data are not currently available and will not be available by time of contract award. Production deliveries are required to commence at a rate of 3 per month by the third fiscal quarter 97 in order to meet an aggressive fielding schedule. The response must include documentation demonstrating experience in downsize shelter programs. It must also include a plan to perform First Article Testing (including full range of environmental testing ) and meet the Government's delivery requirements.
