70 -- HARDWARE AND OPERATING SYSTEMS SOFTWARE SUPPORT SOL 95263DP1 POC Contact:CAROLINE ROOT, Tel:713-483-4140 Contracting Officer:RON JOHNSON, Tel:713-483-4164 The NASA Johnson Space Center (JSC) intends to award an order with ComputerVision Services for Hardware and Operating Systems Software Support. The hardware support is needed for a heterogeneous combination of workstations and workstation-related equipment orginally manufactured by Apple, Sun Microsystems, Solbourne, RDI, IBM, Lynx, Tektronix, Hewlett Packard, and QMS. The software support is needed for operating sytems and systems support software upgrades for a heterogenous combination of workstations from assorted vendors such as Apple, Sun Microsystems, Solbourne, and IBM. The NASA JSC Displays and Control Rapid Prototyping Lab develops displays for the Combined Control Center and for the flight payload community. This mission requires using hardware and software from many different vendors whose hardware and software are mutually exclusive. CompterVision Services is the only company that will provide hardware and operating systems software support for all of this mutually exclusive equipment. This proposed action is one in which the Government intends to solicit only one responsible source under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302. This proposed action is supported by a Justification for Other Than Full and Open Competition. Interested parties may however identify in writing to the Contracting Officer their interest and ability to meet the Government's requirements. All responses submitted within 15 days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government.
