This program referred to as EDMAP, is a component of the National Geologic Mapping Program, which is designed to produce information on areas of scientific, social or economic welfare in the United States. Funding is to support Masters and Doctoral students during geologic field mapping. Cooperative agreements will be on an equal cost-sharing basis only, with Federal funds from the Geologic Mapping Education Component matched with funds from non-Federal sources. Application packages which include all necessary forms, instructions and review criteria will automatically be sent to all known institution departments with Masters and Doctoral programs in geoscience, however telephone confirmation of inclusion on the mailing list is advised.
